February 28, 2011The draft Downtown and Waterfront Revitalization Strategy is now available. This plan will be presented to the Village Board on February 28, 2011 at 7 pm at the Knights of Columbus hall on Main Street.

Public Information Session Announcement
August 3, 2010The Village of Wappingers Falls is pleased to announce it will be hosting a Public Information Session for the project on Thursday, September 16 at 6:00 p.m. The meeting will be held at the Knights of Columbus hall in downtown Wappingers Falls.
Elan Planning, Design, and Landscape Architecture will give a presentation of the draft Vision, Goals, Recommendations and Design Concepts for the Downtown and Waterfront areas. A question-and-answer period will follow.

Public Visioning Summary
March 9, 2010The summary of the February 18th Public Visioning Workshop has been prepared and is available here. This summarizes the input gathered for the three topic areas studied by Elan Planning and Design, which include the Bain Parcel/Transfer Station, Downtown/Waterfront, and Temple Fields/Highway Garage.
In addition, Dutchess County collected input concerning the Route 9 Corridor and Downtown Gateway. A summary of that input will be available soon.
Although the visioning session has been completed, we are still soliciting ideas and input for the different areas of the project. Please feel free to leave a comment below with any ideas or concerns you have about the project area.

February 19, 2010The Waterfront Revitalization Action Team met in December to review the draft inventory and analysis materials prepared by Elan Planning, Design, and Landscape Architecture. Project Kick-Off Meeting Minutes
February 19, 2010The Village of Wappingers Falls is pleased to announce that the Waterfront Revitalization Action Team (the Committee) held a kick-off meeting on Wednesday, November 28, 2009. At this meeting, the Committee met with the planning consultants chosen for the project, including staff from Elan Planning, Design, and Landscape Architecture as well as the Pouder Design Group.
